As a German resident, how can I register for Magenta Pay?

Your registration on Magenta Pay is done directly from your mobile phone, within just a few minutes! What will you need for your registration?

• Your smartphone (Android 8+ or iOS 13+)
• Your email address
• Your mobile phone number
• Your ID card

What documents are required to complete my registration on Magenta Pay?

• German citizens need their German National ID showing the permanent address
• Citizens of other non Eu-countries who are German residents need their Passport & their German Residence Permit showing the permanent address.

You must follow the procedure below:

1) Choose between “EU Citizen” or “Non-EU Citizen”.

• If you select "EU Citizen," you must photograph the front and back of your ID card.
• If you select "Non-EU Citizen," you must photograph the front and back of your residence permit and your passport.

2) If your identification document contains the MRZ (the back part of the ID card or the front part of the passport), you can choose whether to complete your registration via selfie or with an authorized Telekom Payments employee through a video call.

If you do not have an identification document with the above features, you have no choice, and registration can only be completed via video call with an authorized Telekom Payments employee.
